Artist Inspiration- "This illustration was brought about through my love of food and picnics. It reminds me of gatherings where we all share snacks and spend time together, whether it is Japanese food or not, it’s the people you enjoy it with. Highlighting some of my favorite bento additions, the whimsical colors and playful expressions are here to brighten your day."

About the Artist- Leika Ikuma of Kumakun Studio is currently earning a BFA in Illustration at CSUF and aspires to bring joy and happiness through her work. Sharing her love of food through art is one of Leika’s joys and often carries inspiration from her experiences in Japan and family. 

About the Foundation- MECA supports community projects in the Middle East that meet children’s basic needs and give them opportunities to play, learn and envision a better future.
