Most "Asian fit" glasses tend to still slide down my face but these glasses fit perfectly the first time! Super light weight especially if you get the ultra thin lenses. Highly recommend.
Loving my new frames! Been wearing them for a month now, and I can finally breathe. My frames don’t touch my cheeks and don’t slide down my nose. Thankful Covry designed these glasses for people like me!
Really happy with my pair. I'm nearsighted; one eye is around 5 and the other is around 6. On top of having a low nose bridge (16-17 I guess), my nose is very small. It's so small that 99% of acetate frames are out of the question, and the only nosepad glasses in my Covry home try-on that fit me were the Subra and Anser. These glasses are a huge upgrade from the glasses I had been wearing before, both in terms of style and function. They change the shape of my face in a really flattering way (I had smaller, rectangle wire frames before), and I don't think I would be able to wear this style if it wasn't elevated fit. They sit in a very ideal position on my face-- in the center, and at the correct eye level so that I'm taking full advantage of my prescription. Now every time I see someone wearing round or oversized glasses where their eyeline is basically right at the top of the frames and the rest of the lens' surface area is wasted on Cheek, I wince a little because I am thinking that they could have what I am having now with these glasses!! I am experiencing a little slippage, but it's probably because the nosepad adjustment isn't perfect yet. I've spent a long time trying to adjust them with my fingers and I just can't get it right, so I'll probably buy some nosepad pliers and the problem will be fixed then. Still a lot less slippage than my old glasses though. Even when these slip on my face, they still cover my eyeline so that I can still see. The fit and lens size of my old glasses meant that I had to push them up no matter what when they slipped in order to see. The other thing to note is that the light gold on mine comes off a little more silvery/doesn't stand out as much as I expected. TBH mine don't look gold. In addition to the actual color, it might have to do with my lens thickness too? There's still that nice visual contrast with the black though.
Covry, THANK YOU for making these glasses. I have a traditional asian low bridge (or very little bridge between my eyes) and have been looking for glasses for years that don't slip down my face, touch my cheeks, nevermind being comfortable and fashionable. I have pretty bad eyesight so I usually wear contacts but my eyes have been very dry lately so I begrudgingly needed to wear glasses again. Thus started the long hunt. I tried a number of other manufacturers' low bridge glasses, but nothing fit. I found Covry while scouring the ends of the Internet and after a home try-on, I purchased the Subra Gold glasses and LOVE them. They are lightweight and the nose pads hit exactly where they should. I barely notice they are on my face. And, they look great! I also bought sunglasses that fit great and will likely buy another pair of glasses. I can't thank you enough, Covry, for making inclusive glasses that are also beautiful.
I can't believe how well they fit. They are so light and fit so comfortably that I don't realize I have them on. Prior to this pair, I didn't have an alternative to wearing contacts because I could never find a pair of glasses that didn't slide down my nose every other second and brush up against my eyelashes the whole time. So thank you! thank you for such an amazing design that fits my asian face.
