I recently had the chance to visit Anhui, one of China’s oldest providences. Archaeologists discovered that many people lived on this land more than two million years ago!
Beautiful wood carvings cover the door panels to our B&B. We enjoyed a homemade lunch with local ingredients and practiced writing with their calligraphy tools.
After hearing about the famous grey washed buildings, we had to stop by Xidi Village to check them out for ourselves. UNESCO listed this ancient village as a World Heritage Site in 2000. The winding houses set in the middle of mountains and paddy fields created the most picturesque view.
The best way to discover hidden spots is to wander around and explore. We found this lovely tea shop tucked away behind a clothing store.
IN MY BAG
1. VASELINE Lip Therapy
This is lip balm is easy to apply and instantly hydrates. My lips are always chapped so I like to leave one in every bag.
2. CHARA Peony
I love how the iridescent tortoise detail really pops against the translucent pink frame. This frame is feminine and so much fun to wear.
3. APPLE AirPods
These earphones make traveling so much easier. I never have to worry about untangling cords again.
